Who created movement mentoring?

Bee Wilson
Founder, Workshop developer and Mentor Trainer
Bee has spent more than 15 years using movement and padwork to build connection with young people who can be difficult to reach through traditional approaches.
Her work combines practical experience in movement mentoring with a background in communication, conflict management, coaching and programme development.
After seeing repeatedly how movement could help young people settle, open up and engage, Bee developed the Peaceable Movement Mentoring framework - turning what worked in practice into a structured approach that can be taught to the adults supporting young people every day.
Her focus is simple: helping adults create the conditions in which young people feel settled enough to connect, and connected enough to learn.
Kev Ayre
Co-Founder, Mentor Trainer and Technical Lead
Kev brings almost three decades of experience working with young people with complex behavioural, emotional and additional needs.
His approach is grounded in practical, relationship-led work: using movement, padwork and consistent positive interaction to reach young people who may struggle to engage through more traditional approaches.
Having worked extensively with young people in alternative and specialist settings which he has founded, Kev brings a deep understanding of what engagement looks like in the real world - particularly when trust is low, regulation is difficult and sitting down to talk simply isn't going to work.
At Peaceable, Kev helps ensure Movement Mentoring remains practical, accessible and rooted in what works with young people day to day.
