How to notice and avoid predatory people

From county lines to predatory abusers, young people need to know how to spot the sort of tactics that manipulators use to get their intended outcomes and then safely exit the situation.

This course teaches students the skills to:​

• Spot and understand the techniques that predatory people use like 'teaming' and 'gifting'

• Understand or identify what the manipulator is trying to achieve

• Recognise how they might feel when they are being manipulated and the dangers of rationalising the behaviour

• Calmly and safely exit the situation and assertively refuse the offers 

• Why it's important not to let a relationship develop

• Why there is no shame in having been manipulated in the past and how to learn from it and get out now if it is still going on.
